Jake joined Starmer Communications in 2011 as co-founder and executive editor of the company. Together with his experience as a freelance editor since 2002, Jake has been working as an editor for over twenty years serving clients across interdisciplinary fields. He has the rare talent of being able to translate the most complex topics into clear and meaningful text across print and digital media. Jake received his master’s degree in global studies and international affairs with a concentration in development and his bachelor’s degree in English with a concentration in writing from Northeastern University in Boston, MA. He conducted his thesis on “Neo-Liberalism and Despotism: An Examination of Structural Adjustment Programs and Political Predation in Zimbabwe.”
